Hi everyone! I am Brittany Miles, healer and spiritual coach and I am eager to share with you my life journey from struggle to surrender and how to lose to gain it all. From being a native New Yorker to being a professional, single-mom in the Pacific North-West, I was dragged from pillar to post. In this roller coaster ride of emotions, letting go off my negative belief systems and learning to trust the universe, led me to gaining much more in life. I am here to walk you through the steps of attaining the surrender, by accepting humility, being vulnerable and learning to trust the universe. With what I call my “Accidental Buddhism”, I realized that humility is a place of strength and so is surrender. The world is a neutral place. By taking away all the conditioning, I was able to view the world in a different way and have a radically different experience. Ask yourself the authentic questions of who you are and what you believe in and understand that it is completely okay to be vulnerable. This helps you take back your personal power. Remember, that surrender is not a one-shot deal. In my experience, I have learnt that trust is the vital part in the process of surrender. Life is here to support you. If the world outside your window, nature, is freely and easily supported, we are supported in just the same way; we are part of the ecosystem. The key element throughout this process of trust, is learning to live in the present, learning to breathe through the emotions and surrender. We all are in the same place - surrender. Covid-19 has come to help us learn how to let go. As a collective, we're starting to see how uncertain life really is. Now is the time to embrace what we know to be true: love, laughter, and family. All three will get us through the present and future roads.

For now just breathe. The breath is life itself. Breathing lets us be here now. Ram Dass helped a generation learn this important message. While Baba Ram has passed on his message hasn't. It's more relevant today than it ever was yesteryear.

Taking an in-breath allows us to feel the power of the body and the out-breath soothes the mind. The flow of breath heals us in unimaginable ways and brings us solidly to the present.

If you feel paralyzed by fear here's a wonderful grounding meditation to try:

  • Acknowledge FIVE things you see around you.

  • Acknowledge FOUR things you can touch around you.

  • Acknowledge THREE things you hear.

  • Acknowledge TWO things you can smell.

  • Acknowledge ONE thing you can taste.
